Special Note on the Oil Spill:
THE RODEO IS ON!!!

The 39th Annual Bill Hargreaves Rodeo was again a great success.  We welcomed 239 Open Division anglers and countless juniors as well.  Not only was the weather great, but our charity support effort for Ronald McDonald House was also successful and rewarding for all, especially the many volunteers who devote so much of their time to this event.  Our 2009 Master of Ceremonies, Gene Valentino, Escambia County Commissioner for District 2, did a great job!  Mr. Bill Hargreaves Junior made a special appearance and presented the Committee with mementos.  This year, we also recognized and paid tribute to the many boat captains who so generously donated their time (and their boats) to take kids out fishing who otherwise wouldn't have had the opportunity.  What started out as a couple guys deciding to take some kids fishing a few years ago has grown exponentially to 11 boats this year, giving over 30 kids an opportunity to have a lot of fun (and catch fish too!)  Special thanks goes out to those folks who made this happen via the Pensacola Fishing Forum, some of whom were present at the Awards Ceremony.

Start marking up your schedule for our 40th Anniversary Fishing Rodeo in 2010 - Captain's Meeting will be Thursday June 17th, fishing Friday and Saturday June 18th and 19th, and the Fish Fry/Awards Ceremony Sunday June 20th.  See you then!
